Im still going to use the same RAM i have and then buy OCing RAM. Any suggestions would be nice and if anyone knows where to buy any of this cheaper let me know. Thanks for your help.

Hard drive - Instead on one big drive, get a couple of Seagate Barracuda SATA NCQ 120GB 7200 RPM 8M CacheHard Drives (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822148039) and RAID0 them together? It'll cost you about 58 more bucks, but it'll really decrease your load times. And the NCQ will help you acheive almost Raptor speeds.

Heatsink - For some serious air cooling, check out the ZALMAN CNPS9500 LED 92mm 2 Ball Blue LED Light Cooling Fan/Heatsink (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118223). It is truly awesome!

Looks very similar to my build. You could probably get away with a cheaper DVD drive for like $40 though. Check out this one
Just as good if not better.

Could i buy one of those Seagates and then later buy another one when i need it more? I was either going to go with the zalman or the xp-90 because they both have really good reviews. What do you think about the cpu, would it still be worth it too buy the opteron after AMD has started changing them? Will that PSU do this system justice? thanks

Nevermind, i think i will just dish out the money and get two right now. I dont really need a sound card at the moment because i have a crappy sterio system and quality is not on the top of my list. Still dont know about the heatsink though......

The procesors have identical stats. Unless there is a reason why AMD called one an Opteron and the other not... I'd go with the Opty. You don't need the stock HS/F if you're going with an aftermarket cooler.

Go with the Zalman. I checked- your mobo is compatible.

Sounds good, thanks. This should be a really BIG jump from my current celeron/soyo setup. Now just to convince the credit card holders.....

I found the opteron on monarchcomputer.com for $217. The total for everything comes out to $1130.12 including shipping and rebates. Using monarch and newegg together you can save quite a bit :)
