Default Steppings/Weeks on Opteron

Ok so I im buying a opteron 165 and plan to OC it alot. I want to know what stepping/week I should be looking for...Vybuni suggested I look on ebay and I did and I found diffrent Kinds...Im just looking for some advice.... Also is this the right thing to cool this cpu? http://www.newegg.com/product/produc...82E16835118223 or should I look at somthing else.

That cooler you linked is good. Don't forget the Arctic Silver 5 (AS5), its the best thermal paste you can get. You need thermal paste to transfer the heat between your CPU and Heatsink.

The thermaltake bigtyphoon is better than the cnps9500, and it's cheaper. You can also get it on newegg. Some good steppings are CCBWE 0550UMPW, and CCB1E 0550VPMW. Basicly anything with 0550 and it should be pretty good. There are other good ones, I just can't remember them off the top of my head.
