Step up or not??????????

I currently have the EVGA 8800 GTS 512 MB graphics card, should i step up to the 9800 series and if so which one?

it depends on how much you want to spend on your step up. you will see an improvement either way if you step up.

the highest 9800 model that is available will only cost me $20

8800 gts 512 = 359.00
9800GTX SSC 512MB = 379.00

if you wan't to wait for the card, there really is very little difference. Just check out the comparisions at tomshardware for the 9800x2, I say forget it.

There is a performance difference between the 8800GTS and 9800GTX. For 20 bucks I say go for it. It won't be a huge performance change but worth it.
