Default Which SSD to Buy

Hi,
I am looking to buy 64GB SSD hard drive Sata II.
Would be used for Windows 7 64 bit.

Which one is recommended?

Thanks

What's your budget? What capacity are you after (64GB, 90GB, 128GB, etc.)?

You'll probably want a 64GB one. I have this one, and can definitely recommend it.
Newegg.com - OCZ Agility 3 AGT3-25SAT3-60G 2.5" 60GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

It's SATA-III, but SATA-III is back-compatible with SATA-II, so it will work fine.

Hi,
Thanks fir the reply.

I specified above that I want 64GB.

Isn't buying Sata 3 is just overpaying if I don't have Sata 3 interface anyway?

It's better to spend slightly extra now, so that you'll have an even faster SSD whenever you do you get a motherboard capable of SATA-III.

Thanks.
And do you know the difference between the Agility model and the Vertex model?

I believe the Vertex has a higher IOPS (input/output per second)

Then why is the Agility is the one recommended and not the Vertex?

Well I always recommend Vertex, but, from what I've read, you cannot really tell the difference in real world scenarios; only in benchmarks. I believe the Vertex is slightly higher priced, so it's up to you whether you want a slight performance increase. Also, from what I just read, Vertex has higher quality flash memory and Agility has "regular stuff." Whether this is true or not, I do not know.

And which of the Vertex models would you recommend?
(Sata 2 and Sata 3)

Well if you ever plan on upgrading your motherboard/getting a SATA III expansion card, go with SATA 3, otherwise just stick with SATA 2 to save money. Or if the difference does not matter to you, it's safer to go with SATA III. I just recently got an other SATA II 120gb SSD because I knew I was not upgrading motherboards any time soon and I didn't want to spend the extra $$$ when I wasn't going to be using it to its full capabilities.
