wait.. .khan u've given me an idea to fix this issue... go to run and type dxdiag... go into sound... change the slider to basic or standard accleration...

i change both the settings in control paneland dxdiag but they dont stay

sounds liek a sound card would eliminate this prob. but try get newest drivers for ur onboard. did this always happen or just recently?

ya check for driver updates.. a long time ago i had a prob with this radeon 9250, with old drivers i couldn't run halo because hardware acceleration was disabled... went to dxdiag... it was disabled cuz it couldn't be enabled (locked)..... i went to ATI site updated the driver, enabled hardware acceleration and bam!! i started playing halo on easy, and noobing it up on Multiplayer lol......

if ur getting a sound card get the xfi audigy, cheap and good
