Yea really. Server procs are known for their longevity and other great things, but for a desktop and those parts, you should go with that Q6600. Best price/performance currently IMO.

What are you exactly using the rig for? If it's for gaming, you should put towards the money you save towards an 8800GTS G92 or more memory.
