Sound card questions...

First of all I'm wondering how much sound card could help my 2.1 speaker system, but the speakers are really high end. Will I notice a significant difference in qaulity?

depends on how bad your current sound card is and what you are looking to buy. If you have a crappy onboard or a Soun Blaster Live which aren't very good, and you were to buy a much better one then Yes you probably will notice a difference. Like I said though it just depends on how bad your current one is and what you are looking to spend.

With 2.1 you wouldnt notice much of a difference, with a really top end sound card then you probably would but then theres no point buying a top end soundcard for 2.1 speakers in my opinion.
If i were you id just get some 5.1 speakers and that will be a big boost in sound performance even without a fancy soundcard(5.1 can be had for the same price as top end soundcards)
