Sound Card?

Hi
i DO want a sound card, good for movies, games, music, headphones and speakers, and support for recording is always a plus
a remote would be nice, but i'm gonna get Windows Media Center so I assume it'll come with a remote anyway??

anyway, what would you recommend
i've got a budget of about 300$ for it

I would just go for the X-FI Platinum from Sound Blaster. It comes with the X-FI console thing, with MIDI support and all the drivers included.

yep X-fi Xtreme gamer will suit you perfectly, infact it will blow you away if you couple it with a decent 5.1 setup(or better)

nice card, but i would want the drivers to support Vista in the future when SP1 comes out.
