I know im going to get flamed over this system not being "high performance" but i think it should be in this forum.

Here is my computer:
AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (1.8ghz) @ 2.42ghz (220x11), 512mb Corsair XMS, XFX 6600GT, Asus A7N8X-X, 120GB Maxtor ATA 133 8mb Primary, 80gb Seagate ATA 100 2mb Secondary, Samsung DVDRW, Philips 190B 19" Primary LCD Monitor, Acer 77c Secondary 17" CRT, Generic Case, Thermaltake 420 watt dual fan PSU

I have $300 to spend over the holidays and one of the things i could spend it on is upgrades. I was thinking of a 1gb kit of ram (2x 512mb) like this:

Also mabye a new HSF to try and hit 2.6ghz but it has to fit my motherboard. I made a post about this before here:

http://www.techist.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80331

Also, a 250gb Seagate will arrive next week to replace my 2 drives which will neaten up my case and speed everything up because the drive wont be sharing an ide channel.

So, what do you think its in need for an upgrade in my computer (i dont want to upgrade to Athlon 64 because that will cost too much).

Thanks
Wayne
