Looks like AMD has finally thrown a little Sempr0n into their dual-core line, the Athlon 64 x2 3600+ is going to be very similiar to the Athlon 64 x2 3800+, but half the L2 cache (256k per core). I can't imagine how this would work since even 512k per core seems to be cutting it close to not so great performance. Either way, it's prime purpose is obviously to combat Conroe, and since it's going to cost ~$160 at the most, it will surely be an excellent dual core chip in the lower range, basically the AMD equivalent of the Intel Pentium D 805.
