From what i've read though, a e4500 overclocked should be vaguely comparable to a e6550? Right?

The stock intel heatsink is probably good for a 10-25% overclock, mostly because you can get that amount on stock voltage. I've actually been able to overclock my quad about 40% on stock voltage.

Nothing to see here.

People have Gotten E6300 to about 3.0ghz on the stock intel cooler.
