Current main specs..
P4 478 3.06E Ghz HT OC'D @ 3.8
ASUS P4P800 SE

YEP I NEED THIS...

So for the past few months I have upgraded around the cr*p parts with the following..

OCZ (OCZ700GXSSLI) GameXStream 700 Watt Power Supply
Thermaltake Armor Jr. Case
LG 16X DVD-RW
SEAGATE 80Gbs SATA HD
few 120mms

etc...

I am looking at the following and I request you opinion..
KEEP IN MIND I AM IN CANADA SO $$$$$

MOBO: ASUS P5N32-E SLI $246.99
Canada Computers - Motherboards > Socket LGA775/T : Asus P5N32-E SLI nVidia nForce 680i SLI Chipset Dual-Channel DDR2 533/667/800 8-Channel High Definition Audio SLI-Ready Support Core 2 Duo Processor.

RAM: PATRIOT EXTREME PERFORMANCE $149.99
DDR2 800Mhz 2 X 1 Gbs
Canada Computers - Memory > DDR2 PC2-6400 800MHz + : Patriot Extreme Performance DDR2 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Low Latency DIMM Kit (PDC22G6400LLK ).

CPU: INTEL E6600 2.4Ghz Socket 775 $253.99

VIDEO: XFX 8600 GTS 675Mhz X 2Ghz $205.99
Canada Computers - Video Cards > PCI-Express Cards > Powered By nVidia : XFX GeForce 8600GTS nVidia 8600GTS Chipset (675Mhz) 256MB (2.0Ghz) GDDR3 Dual DVI PCI Express Graphics Card .
TOTAL IN CANADA WITH NATIVE STATUS CARD
$916.94

I will still need a new zalman cpu cooler so I am just within budget..

The only MAIN question I have is my PSU has 4 12volt rails @ 18amps a piece
total on sticker it's

+3.3V @36 A
+5V @ 30A
TOTAL 155W
+12V1 @ 18A
+12V2 @ 18A
+12V3 @ 18A
+12V4 @ 18A
TOTAL 680W
-12V @0.5A
+5Vsb @ 3.0A
TOTAL 20W
TOTAL PSU POWER 700 W

12V1 IS CPU 1
12V2 IS PCI-e2/CPU 2
12V3 IS MOBO ACCESSORY
12V4 IS PCI-e1

All I here is Amps this and Amps that... WTF is the amps on the XFX 8600 GTS. Can I run it or did I waste my money on this PSU?

So thanks guys... If you have any links with lists of amps on card link me please

ya the 8600 is really for media, an 8800gts will serve you well.

if you want to buy this TONIGHT, then id say its all good, except gofor some G.Skill HZ ram:

Newegg.com - G.SKILL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

theyre most likely better than the patriots and are $50 cheaper too.

Also, your mobo might be a little overkill too. Maybe switch to the 650i chipset and gofor the MSI P6N SLI Plat:?

Newegg.com - MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail

Unless youre really set on the 680i, if youre ever even considering doing SLI, the 650i will perform better...and again, saves you some money.

Also, if you can wait it out till July 22 youd save about $90 on an e6600, and could get a q6600 for the same price as the current e6600, but if you HAVE to go tonight, the e6600 is a killer cpu. Hope this helps...
