ya the 8600 is really for media, an 8800gts will serve you well.

if you want to buy this TONIGHT, then id say its all good, except gofor some G.Skill HZ ram:

theyre most likely better than the patriots and are $50 cheaper too.

Also, your mobo might be a little overkill too. Maybe switch to the 650i chipset and gofor the MSI P6N SLI Plat:?

Unless youre really set on the 680i, if youre ever even considering doing SLI, the 650i will perform better...and again, saves you some money.

Also, if you can wait it out till July 22 youd save about $90 on an e6600, and could get a q6600 for the same price as the current e6600, but if you HAVE to go tonight, the e6600 is a killer cpu. Hope this helps...
