i ran the WD diag tests, and it said my raptor passed, i cant rma iot i dont think if it has passed, so pehaps there is nothing wrong with it and i just need to reformat?

Yea, definately, reformat. I thought you already had and it didn't work, hehe. That's definately the next thing you need to do is reformat. Could just be that Windows has reached that deterioration stage where it needs the reinstall. Happens to all users of Windows over time. Usually every 6 months to a year I reformat.

right, is there a programme i can use so i dont have to reinstall evrythihg, i hear norton ghost, and ideas?

Honestly, if you want the best cleanup when reformatting it's best to go the long route. Reformat then reinstall from scratch. That would be the best method for solving this problem unfortunately.

run a SMART monitor in the background (e.g. HDDHEALTH) to keep an eye on things such as the error rate. that might explain the slow performance
