or

evga 790i with 1 x gtx 260

and why?

Depending on you budget you should be able to get a x58 for the price of the 790i and a Core i7 920 to go with it.

i agree with pudle try to go for a core i7. dont worry abotu sli till later. otherwise get the 780iftw with ddr2 and sli. only good way to go ddr3 right now is with the core i7
