Default SLI and Crossfire question

Is it possible to run SLI without an SLI compatible motherboard?

Also is it possible to run Crossfire on any motherboard, and without the crossfire editions of the ATI cards? Or do they have to be the crossfire editions?

no its not possible to run SLI on a non-SLI board, hence the name SLI motherborads. and as far as im concerned the only cardsthat run in crossfire are crossfire edition cards.

Lol so basically it can't be done? Oh, but is there specific boards required for crossfire, or is it able to run on any motherboard?

yes, the boards have to be crossfire ready. Most 975x boards are crossfire
