Hello folks,
I'll get to the point. I put together this build about an hour ago and I just wanted to run it past all of you for one last time. I haven't built a computer for about 2 years so I'm a little out-dated when it comes to the AMD v. Intel and ATI v. Nvidia but I'm fairly confident with what I have picked out. Basically, what I'm most worried about is whether or not the Q6600 will bottleneck my two 9800GX2. Also, would it be more worth it if I got the new ATI cards (4870s I think they're called) instead of the 9800GX2's? Also, which manufacturer should I go with for the ATI cards? I want to run in 1920x1200 with the 24" so that's why my heart is set on SLI/crossfire but would it still be ok with only 1 4870? And is the MoBo I picked out good quality? (MoBo's are always the most difficult for me to pick out)

Also, is my PSU overkill for SLI? And is Arctic Silver 5 the best thermal compound still?

Agreed... Quad SLi is a good amount slower in most games and there is the MicroStutter, stick with the HD 4870X2 and switch the board an I45 or P5Q Deluxe and change the RAM to a G-Skill 4gb DDR2 Kit @ 4-4-4-12 and keep the TX-2 it's better than AS5

agree. quad SLI is complete garbage. if you really want bragging rights (since theres no need for 2 of these on only a 24" anyway) get 2 4870x2s.
I can also vouch for the g.skill ram. Excellent kit. 2x2 GB PK's
