it can run them but its like you said with your old rig, can only play them on low. I know i dont need the smoke effects an extra backgrounds would just like to know whats its gonna cost to get them an if its worth it. Feels like i'm not using my system to its fullest.

i agree, you system should be running games much better then it seems to be. Regardless, if you want an upgrade post your psu up here so we can check it out.

would it not be worth buying a second 7950 an quad SLI'ing it, or would it not be as powerfull as a new grapics card?

Quad SLI back then really wasn't worth it, as nVidia couldn't make good drivers for it back then.

Any of the newer cards we recommended would be better than a 7950GX2 Quad SLI
