Muffin man's build looks good out of those, but it looks like he went slightly over budget as that build didn't include an OS.

Thank you all for your time and links. After alot of time studying them all I think Muffin Man's last post with the 1tb HD is just what I'm looking for. I appreciate everyone's help.
I hope I don't need to call on you again during my first build.
Thanks again.

Edit,
I'll be using my existing monitor so shall I assume that this is all I need for a complete build? Nothing else needed to get up and running? No more screws, cables, etc?
Thanks.

nope, nothing else would be needed. you should be good to go

screws will come with the case, that mobo will come with 4 sata cables to hook up drives to it, and power cables will be supplied by the psu (ofcourse).

You didn't mention overclocking, so you will not need the aftermarket CPU cooler (CPUs come with one).

I had some time, so I came up with a build. It has an AMD processor, but the performance increase you'd get from the i5 is slight and doesn't (in my opinion) warrant its purchase.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - OCZ Obsidian 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model OCZ3OB1600LV4GK - Desktop Memory (use the G.Skill Ripjaws if you don't like rebates)
Newegg.com - OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply compatible with core i7 - Power Supplies
Newegg.com - POWERCOLOR AX5770 512MD5-H Radeon HD 5770 512MB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards (use the promo code VGA12215 for $15 off)
Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Black WD7501AALS 750GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Newegg.com - Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit 1-Pack for System Builders - Operating Systems

Total comes to 768.46 after shipping, with an additional $15 off for the coupon and $55 in rebates. All you need is a case and an optical drive.

Good to know Muffin Man, thanks again.

VishKapish, I only list the cooler because in one of the user reviews I read on the i5 he said "Cons: The stock cooler sucks. Get an aftermarket cooler even if you do not overclock."
Who knows, maybe down the line I would overclock it. I suppose for $35 it's better to be safe than sorry.
Thanks for taking the time to look up those components for me. I'll check those out too before deciding.
When you say "the performance increase you'd get from the i5 is slight and doesn't (in my opinion) warrant its purchase", are you still talking about the cooler?
