Which should I do?

I am planning on buying a new computer and am not sure which to get.

I was gunna build a desktop with the following stuff:

CPU
Mobo
RAM
Video Card
I already have a power supply case and hard drive

Or this laptop-here

that desktop will walk all over the laptop when gaming. all depends what you want to use it for.

well i want to do some gaming but i will need the laptop anyway for college soon. are there any decent gaming laptops tha are under $2000?

Asus G1 is one very good gaming laptop at around $1800 but no laptop at under 2000 will be able to match a desktop with that 7950

True but that laptop is great for the money, I've got nearly the same one and I can run FEAR at native. For college you WILL need a laptop. You're going to be tying yourself down if you only have a desktop. My advice would be to buy that particular laptop. You can upgrade the ram to 2gb easily enough and it'll play games great for a while. If you're a big gamer then worry about getting a dedicated gaming rig later.
