i dont think in all of its history nvidia has had this good a line up of cards released at such a good price point.

i dont' think just nvidia.. but really graphics card history.. this is amazing right now, its so cheap to build a good computer....
and the 6800 to 7800 was a bigger jump than the 8800 to 9800 is gonna be... at least they added more pipelines from the 6800 to 7800.. from 16 to 20 and 24! and higher clocks....
while 8800 to 9800.. umm... same amount of sp's, just a higher core and memory clock.. and nvidia STILL NOT USING DDR4! wtf!!!! and even lowering from the 384-bit to a 256.... whats wrong w/ this world

no... the 6800gs was 12, and the GT and Ultra were *correction* only 16 pixel pipelines
that is the 6800vanilla you speak of
i own a 6800gs, and have owned a vanilla
if the 6800's were only 8 pixel pipelines while the 7800gtx's were 24.. that would be a pitiful upgrade for such a difference in hardware specs

No one has said 8800gt yet??
Right now 8800gt is the best buy. the 8800gts is just a tad bit better. But the price isn't very competitive.
The chips coming out look horrific in the fact that they are almost all modified version of what we already have now. Which doesn't justify the jump from the 8 to 9 series.
