looks good... but cut down on the PSU.. a Corsair 550vx or 520hx is more than enough for a system...

And I would just get Vista Home Premium instead of Vista Ultimate....and you might want to go with 64 bit version in case you want ot upgrade to 4gb RAM in the future.

You could even just get 4gb of ram with vista 64 premium now. Would give you a decent boost especially with vista being a system hog. As well most games on the market now need 2gb of ram, would be easier just to get 4gb now and not worry about upgrading in a few months.

Are you getting a keyboard and mouse from ncix too, or do you already have them?

I guess if you don't mind spending the extra money to have them assemble it, thats a good build even ASUS Maximus is overkill. If you are going vista and you have THAT much money then yes going with 4GB of Ballistix ram is not a bad idea.]

In reply to how to overclock RAM, you really don't set a RAM's speed yourself. It is usually always good to have it where it will change when the CPU's FSB is changed. For instance if you were to assemble that system as it as, instantly once you booted up your mobo would downclock that Ballistix to DDR2-533 and set timings where it seemed right.

However once you set your FSB higher on your CPU by overclocking the ram instantly changes with it. The Quad's start at 266 FSB but you can look with a Tuniq and that board to push it's FSB to around 350+ FSB for a great overclock. Once you set your FSB to 350, your mobo would change the ram instantly to DDR2-700 and set the timings where seemed right. You can leave the timings on auto for the motherboard to decide, or you can test them yourself and see. At DDR2-700 ballistix should be able to do Cas Latency 3.
