So far this is the setup that I have come up withk, let me know what you think.

Motherboard:

DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939

Processor:

There are a few here that I cannot pick between, please help me out.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ Processor Socket 939

AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Processor (San Diego) Socket 939

Memory:

There are 2 here also, I do not know the difference between these. The timings on both sets are 2 2 2 5 which I have read is good.

OCZ Gold Series 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200)

OCZ EL Platinum Revision 2 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200)

Power Supply:

Dont really know what I need or good brands to buy. Help me out if you can.

Video Card:

ASUS Geforce 6800GT EN6800GT/2DT/256MB Video Card

Not really sure about that video card, but let me know. Is it really worth the jump in price to go to this:

eVGA Geforce 7800GT 256-P2-N515-AX Desktop PC

If you dont mind helping me out, that would be great. I have been reading arond forums trying to help me make some decisions but all it does is give me more questions.

I would like to be able to play the folling games with ease.

Battlefield 2
UT2004/2007
FEAR
Counter Strike

Let me know what you think. Feel free to add more to the mix but keep in mind the price of the things already up there, becuase this is already stretching my budget.

motherboard is great, get the x2 3800+, go with either RAM (probably platinum is better), PSU - go with an Antec TP-II 550W, YES it's very worth the price jump to get the 7800GT, but if you don't want to do that, go with the evga 6800GS. You'll be able to play all of those games with ease

Defintely get the 7800GT, best video card out there for the price.

Mobo looks good, defefintely again go with the X2 3800+ dual core power !! :D

The el platinum revision is good ram for OC'ing otherwise you shuold just go with some nice corsair valueselect if you aint OC"ing

Antec truepower 550W power supply 80-110 dollars
OCZ 520W powerstream 120 dollars
Enermax 600W all in one noisetaker 150 dollars
Fortron 450W power supply 50 dollars

Those are all good psu's

Don't forget that now your build is officially
