Default Is this set up a good idea or totally a waste?

mother bored -*|*Asus
processor -*|*Intel
case -*|*NZXT
memory -*|*CORSAIR
video card -*|*6970PE52G

I would be looking for these items cheaper than on frys...those are just the parts i was looking at

Is this not a good idea?
Any ideas on building a different comp?
budget - 1500$

The cpu is incompatible with that motherboard. The memory is for a notebook and not a desktop.

I'm sure someone will be along soon with a few good selections

Do you also need monitor, os, keyboard, mouse, etc? Or just the tower?

Lol i have a pretty nice monitor/keyboard/cd drives and all that stuff.just need a new tower//and i have a copy of windows 7 already... i just need the parts

Yea i dont know what im doing.. just looking for a good computer in 1500 range..hopefully 1400 that will run any game on the market as well as do everything else....i play alot and seriously..just dont know anything about computers..just how to use em

need somthing that will run games smooth as it can for my price
