kinda. for that mobo, it says to run them in tri-channel, either all the green slots need to be filled or all slots need to be filled.

but you can still run ram in dual channel, it just says to put the ram in the 4 slots closest to the cpu (dimm 2 and 1, 4 and 3)

ok, so does that mean that it will be difficult to find another one... (a few years from now) for an SLI because its some "special" edition?

and... is this card worth considering?

Newegg.com - EVGA 01G-P3-1180-AR GeForce GTX 285 1GB 512-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards
you can crossfire it with a normal edition

SLi is for nVidia cards only

the GTX 285 is slower than the HD 5870, and does not support DX11

Hello everybody! ^_^

yes, yes... im still working on this... but I've got 1 final item to attend to:

for GPU's......

SAPPHIRE or XFX?

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!

is that sapphire really worth the extra $50?

Go with the XFX one, both have reference coolers, don't see why the sapphire is $50 more.

Can't beat a double lifetime warranty with the XFX.
