Just built my system, Been in training for the US Army until now so I can actually own a desktop again.

I plan on adding to this as the paychecks flow in but this is just my base system to get me off the ground.

Let me know what you think and what first upgrades should be ETC.

You'd be better off going with a Phenom II, the original Phenoms had a little to be desired.

You'd likely be better going with a higher quality power supply, such as Corsair, Antec (Earthwatts) or OCZ. The power supply is the one piece of hardware you don't want to skimp on.

Otherwise all good choices.

Not the best start for the reasons Yamikotai said... also the 700a series aren't that good, you'd be best to put a 700 AMD Chipset series, but then you'd be better of going AMD GPU too (its your choice)

Give me a budget and I'll try to hook you up with something nice(r)
 
You can still run it without the case you know...

Just use a bunch of those antistatic bags and the thing foam sheets they give you and put your PSU and mobo on it.. and it'll work

(Nosboost has done that oh so many times)
