But by all means, if it's what he or yourself wants then go for it. I'm not trying to scare you off or anything and I know a ton of good cases that can get any job done like this but simply relocating the power button to an adult "place" seems more logical to me.

And yet when I suggested it he told me its not what he wanted. Like I said, a good work around but not ideal
