SATA 3.0GB/s drive on SATA150 port

Is it possible to use a SATA 3.0GB/s hard drive on a motherboard that only supports SATA150?

Sata II is backwards compatible with sata 150

Thanks, just ordered a 250 gig, 16 MB cache western digital.

Shyed away from the Maxtor models, seems like a lot of people complain about them.

Tell me how you enjoy the 16MB cache. Still debating is it worth it to upgrade from 8MB

Spend the money and go for the 150gig WD Raptor. Holy Moly!! 7200's are like mud walking after using the 10k drives!!!!! I currently am using two "older" 36gig's in RAID 0. Wham Bam thank you Mam!!!
