wow that is the biggest crap i've ever heard.. your gonan speak against someone that has had both cards???i had my 7900 gt voltmodded to 685/1850 and played games with it.. and your gonna tell me there's not much difference.. thats a lie, and to oc a 7900gt to play as good as a x1900xt would take a good heatsink as well.. and he doesnt even wanna overclock.. did you even consider anything he even said?? getting a 7900gt to x1900xt speeds would cost just as much as getting an x1900xt... and you would risk loosing warranty and all that good stuff because you'd have to change the heatsink, and get new paste.. and obviously this person is new with computers... so i dont think he even wants to look at that

i scored low 11,000 with my 7900gt voltmodded.. while my x1900xt can give me that at stock speeds with an oc'd 3800 x2... so the way i see it.. the x1900xt kicks the crap out of the 7900gt.. if you want something that competes with the 7900gt... grab a x1800xt.... x1900xt competes with the 7900gtx

Don't waste your money on X1900xt, there is not much difference between it and 7900GT. Also, as i heard 7900GT can be overclocked to crazy speeds

you can get MSI 7900GT for $239.99 after $30.00 Mail-In Rebate
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814127218

This MSI 7900GT has higher memory speed than the eVGA 7900GT, and it is cheaper.

1)Never talk smack like that when someone on this forum has had both cards and has pushed the cards to the max. That person is the one who can tell you which card is %100 better.

2)The evga versions are more expensive because of increased voltage. Msi's 1.2v vs Evga's 1.5v. Higher Voltage = Better Overclocks. Besides its $5 after the mail in rebate.

Yea plus i DO NOT WANT TO OVERCLOCK. I have said this a couple of times. He said that the 1900 was better at stock speeds. The 7900 might be better if u OC the shat outta it.

No i know what you are doing everything is fine i like all the opinions, i just wanted to restate what i said earlier.

I like nvdia better always had, but they are really falling behind. The 7900gt are great boards. One of the best boards for nvidia but ati cames on top with there x1900xt and don't get start on their x1900xtx.
Once vista comes out there directx 10 cards will come out and nvidia will be back on top. They will always be back a forth for who is the best card maker.
