I had no idea until I checked just now - apparently it's because the Intel ones are default (the ones built into the chipset), the two extra ones are an extra add-on chip that isn't part of the default specifications. Presumably using the Marvel controller is cheaper than using another Intel one.

Now the hard part, saving the money for it all lmao. Got the SSD on the way though. The max iops edition went on sale for 70$ off + another 20 mail in. Hard to pass that up.
