And this is about where I draw the line I love tweaking my hardware and maxing out Clock speeds but Lapping is just over the edge for me, maybe if I buy some cheap pwn box ill give it a try

I lapped my e6300 and got a few C drop. Left my e6400 alone though as it's not a very good clocker at all and lapping would be pointless.

people are so scared of doing this, I don't know why. Intel cpus don't have any pins on the bottom to bend or break so the process is really foolproof.

I am scarred to sand to much I dunno why. Its like look im lapping my CPU and then I don't have a core 2. LOL

I can see why its scary. A little puddle on sandpaper.. Dropping a tiny $300++ processor into it and grinding away XD

I lapped my opty 165 and got about a 3-5 degree decrease.
