Safe Temp whilst running Prime95/Orthos

Whats a Safe Temp whilst running Prime95/Orthos on my E6850 ?

I need to know because im trying to OC.

Anything below 70c should be safe.

I think the max intel recommends is 72c for a E6850.

It gets to 76 degrees after 5 mins @ 3.4Ghz on stock cooling, and thats at a pretty low voltage.

Looks like i need an aftermarket cooler again.

yeah you will need an aftermarket heatsink... stock cooling is junk unless you wanna run at stock frequency and voltage... i believe the TJmax is 95C, so as long as you keep the temps below 75-80C under full oad you'll be fine... of course lower temps would be more desirable

76 is ok, it will start to lower your performance after around 70.

Mine runs @ similar w/stock.
