All the new cards coming out, from this point on, are going to be DX10.1 compatible.

well i was thinking about upgrading to a 7/x19 series AGP card for "increased" performance but i guess i'll be rethinking that plan. lawlz. I've already got my c2d so all i need is a mobo, ram, video card, SATA hds (like 38 of them xD) and other fun stuff.

thank god i have a part time job paying 10 an hour =P

This gives me a reason to hold off on my core system upgrade... I'll wait until I find out what card is better and then get the mobo based on that :P

Bye-bye 7800GTs...

i guess im gonna have to wait for the R680 to come out. U guys think AMD can really pull this off n recover the damage they have done with most of the HD 2000 series cards? The 2900 Pro so far is the most successful card out of the HD 2000 series.

i really want AMD to do better this time with the graphics compeition.

So is this supposed to be competing directly with the 8800 GTX/Ultra? I wonder how it's compare when they start benchmarking it.

compete n be better then the 8800 GTX/Ultra. AMD is going through another whole series again. From HD 2000 series to HD 3000 is all.
