running dual montiors and lcd versus crt

i am wanting a new monitor, BIGGER bassiclly.

i have a 17" crt atm, but want to go to 19".

are lcds better than crts? its for gaming.

i was thinking of 1 of these lcds

or

also, i will be keeping my old monitor, but i wouldn't mind running it dual setup, using the crt for running temps/cpu usage when playing games. would this be possible? and when not playing games would i find any confict when do normal comp stuff with the size diffrence?

thanks

CRTs with flat screens usually have a more crisp and clear image than an LCD monitor because their refresh rates are faster. I have a 19" CRT, but it is HUGE.

LCD screens are usually brighter in contrast and are, obviously much smaller and run a lot cooler than a big CRT monitor.

Yea both of those LCD's are great for gaming. They have a good response time, good contrast, and 19" is great. I'm actually planning on upgrading to a 19" LCD this Christmas. I'd go with the cheaper one just because the difference between 8ms and 4ms really isn't worth the difference in price, that's just my opinion. I'm pretty sure you can mix a CRT and LCD and run dual monitors but i'm not exactly sure...
