Question Round Cables = better airflow

I know why round cables are better.
But Why round copper cables? Do they shield against interference?
From what?

For sure the round cables help with cooling and the airflow in your case. I think the reason the other cables are copper is because of cooling aswell and better heat management because of the copper?

I dunno... there can't be much power going through those IDE cables. No more than 5v I imagine with little to zero amperage I don't see them generating heat.
I do know that if you want to block an EM pulse you want a copper mesh.

I suppose its to shield from external EMI and increase your data integrity.

emi is the only reason i can think of... it certainly wont be transfering heat for you (the low amperage statement was 100% true). it is silly to think copper round cables are going to protect your computer against an emf pulse... unless your whole computer is encased in a copper mesh

Umm, try for looks??? the copper mesh is only for looking different... same as silver or gold ones... it's not meant for anything else...
