Hey folks
I'm going to be building this machine within the next 3ish months, unless different hardware comes out that really outperforms what i have planned. This is going to be used mostly for gaming, things like MFSX, Warhammer online, Crysis, Farcry 1/2, Half life series, Diablo III if it ever gets released, spore, Fable II, Stalker: Clear Skies, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, the Witcher, and the like. Pretty demanding games. I also plan on watching 1080p content.

I plan on running these programs at 1920x1200, but i realise that to crank up the settings on some i may have to turn it down to 1650x1080, and i don't mind. I am also aware that MFSX doesn't really run well on any hardware at max settings. Anyways, here's what i have so far:

- Antec Nine Hundred Mid Tower Gamer Case

- Thermalright ULTRA-120 Extreme 6 Heatpipe Coole
- Noctua NF-S12-1200 120MM Ultra Quiet Cooling Fan (for the ultra 120)

- Patriot Viper Extreme Performance 2GB DDR2 2X1GB PC2-9600 DDR2-1200

- Western Digital Velociraptor WD1500HLFS 150GB SATA 10000RPM 5.5MS 16MB Cache

- Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 3.5IN 500GB SATA2 8.5MS 7200RPM 32MB Cache

- Logitech G5 Laser Gaming Mouse 2000DPI USB Blue Black ENG

- Gigabyte EP45-DS3R ATX LGA775 P45 2PCI-E16 2PCI CrossFireX SATA2 RAID Sound

- Corsair TX750W 750W ATX 12V 60A 24PIN ATX Power Supply Active PFC

- Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 Quad Core Processor LGA775 2.83GHZ Yorkfield 1333FSB

- AuzenTech X-FI Prelude 7.1 Sound Card PCI 32BIT Eax 5.0

- Palit Radeon HD 4870 X2 750MHZ 2GB GDDR5 2XDVI HDTV PCI-E Video Card

-Acer G24 24" Monitor 50000:1 DCR, 2ms, 1920x1200

I already have a pair of Tritton AX360s for the sound, as well as some logitech x-540s that i won't really use.

This machine is supposed to last about 4ish years, with maybe a video card upgrade somewhere along the way. I'm only going to be gaming heavily for the first 2 years, as i'm at the Royal Military College and won't have a lot of free time after year 2.
Your help is greatly appreciated!

Looks great I am currently looking at the Auzentech x-fi or the Asus Xonar D2x 7.1 both are supposed to be great cards however after reading loads and loads of reviews am going with the Asus. You might want to look into it :).

You haven't added thermal grease

Ram is a bit fast you can save some pennies if your not an uber overclocker

Beastly build man.. You should post up some benchmarks on your build when you get it up and running
