Replacing power supply (operating system)

So I dontthink this is a problem, but installing a new power supply with Vista OEM will work right, and I wont have to "activate" it again correct?

Of course not. If you replace the PSU, there is nothing else to reactivate.

I think it's just if you switch the motherboard.

nope.

The mobo has a cmos battery that stores your settings.

Nope. You just need to double check everything, like your connections and BIOS settings, and make sure they are all properly set.

really hopefully is the last question.

The only things form the psu going to the motherboard are the ATX 24 motherboard connector, and the connector going to the cpu correct? Looks like a 8pin thingy.

Yes, and there might be a graphics power if necessary, and those drive ones.

Yeah, I got 2 SATA powered stuff, and one 4 pin molex, and a 6200 PCI doesnt need a pci-e connector!

Thanks can be locked!
