Replacement for an eVGA 8800 GTS Graphics Card

I built a PC awhile back for my father, and recently his eVGA 8800GTS Graphics Card went out. I've been out of the loop for awhile on computer hardware, and I was looking for a cheap replacement for this graphics card.

What do you guys recommend? Would like to stay $50-100 and order it off newegg.com. I believe it is a pci-express. This computer is not used for gaming at all anymore

What size PSU does it have?

if it could handle it, I would go for the 100.00 550 ti or the GTS450

The 6670 would also be good and that can be cheaper.

since it's not for gaming, i'd just stick the cheapest card in there.
or better yet, check on evga.com to see if you were able to register it for their lifetime warranty program.
may be as cheap as just paying shipping.

You have to register the card within 30 days for them to grant warranty. Least that is what they told me when I tried to register and RMA the last 280 I had.

I would do what he said. Grab the cheapest thing and stick it in there.
