Recording?

I am going to be building a computer for recording music, i was just wondering what a good setup would be?

huge hard drive, uncompressed songs take up lots of room, id say 750GB to 1TB or more of space should be enough. lots of processing power/RAM, dont want latency in the recording process. really good sound card

i7 rig would be good. i can make one but you would need to give us two things, your budget and the audio pci cards or setup you would be using. Because audio cards is not our specialty here. Although i so know m-audio make great professional audio solutions.
