Default Recommend me my first gaming laptop!!!

I am interested in getting a quality gaming machine for around 2000$. I was wondering what you would recommend for cpu, graphics card, RAM, and HD. Also ive built a desktop and was wondering if it was worth building a laptop? Please help me out with some recommendations! Thanks!!!

Well i can't recommend you one but in general a $2000 PC will totally destroy a 2 grand laptop. If you need a laptop though it's not a bad idea though. But if you just want the luxury of having a gaming laptop and you don't need one for like college then a desktop is much more worth your money.

Do you have a standard laptop? One for what you need it to do? If so then I think a desktop would be much better for your money. Remember you can get a 2k one that will play games good, but no where near a desktops power.

Buy a laptop like this, very good compromise between a gaming laptop and a "typical" laptop. Not too expensive and you can still play every game out there at native resolution. Also you can add another gig of ram cheaply when you want to upgrade.

If you are set on a laptop...

Asus G1 ~$1800 good specs, quality
Asus A8js ~$1500 almost same specs as G1 but a bit lower quality
Compal Hel80 Cheap, good specs depending on how you configure it, decent quality
dv9000t Cheap, might be big since you want it portable, pretty good specs

The 7700 GO card is quite a good card for a laptop.
