Yeah, where have you been? Ever since like two weeks ago there have been MAJOR price cuts on AMD's.

Well AMD did drop prices of all of their processors significantly, with the release of the Core 2 Duo.

That is an awesome price. I paid the same amount 6 months ago for the processor in my sig. That's life in the fast lane of PC technology.

does anyone know if the x24800 is good/bad? never seen it in people's sigs at all

They're 100 bucks more. Used to be acouple hundred more than that. Personally the most attractive one is the 4400 x2 to me or one of the opteron dual cores. This is probly my last single core anyways.

Most people don't have it because it is expensive, and the 4400+ is the same thing but cheaper.
