Reading A PSU

All you need to pay attention to is the 12V rail and the total wattage. In this case there are 2 adding up to a total of 44Amps which is very nice. And the wattage is up to 620 which is very good aswell. You basically want to buy a power supply with 450 and above watts and around 25Amps and above.

Oh, I see. Also why is the wattage split up into different parts? Like there is 597.8 W under part of the values and 22.2 W under other values, adding up to 620 W all together.

Also I was wondering what active and passive PFC is. I think it is something that changes the incoming electricity to the right level or something so the computer doesn't get damaged, not exactly sure though.

amps x volts = watts

20 amps x 10 volts = 200watts.

It shows how much power each rail can do and then adds them up.

I have a recommendation. Its the OCZ GameXstream. Its got 4 +12V rails at 18A each (72Amps total). You can get a 600W or 700W and their around the same price as that Enermax. OCZ is a quality brand like Enermax too so you can trust them.

600W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817341001
700W: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817341002

i have the 600W and its awsome. like the corruptin advertisement of McDonalds says "I'm Lovin it"
O yea, they also have blue LEDs too if you like those ;)

Those are cool PSUs, I think I am going to get that 700 W one. All excellent reviews. I can't believe I didn't see those. I know it says it has SLI support but how come it doesn't have the SLI logo thing?

Idk but it diffenantly does have enough power for SLI/CF. That might also hold you over if/when we ever see quad SLI/CF support, stuff like that.

The one thing I dont like about the PSU is that it isn't modular. How do you deal with all of the cables? I really want this PSU but I don't want to deal with a crap load of cables.
