Default rate my upgrade

Im selling my old gfx card to a friend for full price.
my upgrade is : 6600gt agp -> 6800gs pci-e which im waiting for to arrive in the mail
When I ran WoW on full settings, the 6600gt handled it extremely well with a few instances of lag and Im hoping the 6800gs will make it perfect.
performance wise... was it worth the extra 50 dollars?

Do you have a PCI-E motherboard? I see you're changing from an AGP to a PCI-E. Most motherboards only have one slot or the other, so if you bought a PCI-E video card for an AGP motherboard it isn't going to work.

I'd definitely say it's worth the $50 to upgrade. The 6800GS has become a really good valued vid card. It performs quite well

speaking from experince with the 6800gs, i would highly recommend it. Quick install, good documentation (Not that you'll need it) and with my setup can run F.E.A.R on full settings with around 25 Fps..

4gb ram
opteron 165
74gb Raptor
Runs extreamly well :P

For the money you cant really beat the 6800GS... it was Well worth the extra 50$ but if you have more money to spare i would say send back the GS and go ahead and get 7800gt...
