I was just messing around on Newegg, and I compiled all the links here. Could you tell me if everything is compatible and if it will run good? When I found out that all of that was only about 970 w\shipping, I seriously thought about purchasing this.
I would go for two gigs of ram and a better sound card but my bugdget if i buy it is about 1000 dollars.

EDIT: o yea, does the processor come with a heatsink or will i have to buy one, and what about thermal paste? does the case come with fans?

the processor will come with everything that you will need.

drop the sound card, 2nd bay drive, and get a cheaper case like a Cooler Master centurion

(thats what i would recommend has 2 120s in it and really nice cooling)

and see if you can upgrade to a gigabyte DS3 or just S3

that PSU is crap get somehting form a respectible brand like Antec, Hiper, FPS etc.

also if you have to get 1 gig o ram try to get 1gb stick instead of 2 by 512

whats a gigabyte DS3? and wont two 512 do better than 1 gig cuz its dual channel?

the gigabyte DS3 is a motheboard that is alot better then the ecs you picked out.

2x512 wont run faster then 1gb stick, and having 1gb is more future proff when you start needing 4gb of RAM

and you can put in a window yourself easily if you have a dremel, and atleast try and find a case on zzf because they have free shiping on everything

I reckon you'll want to upgrade to 2GB in the near future. Upgrading to 4x512MB is a bit icky apparently; I stuck in 2x512MB three years ago, times have changed, we'll more than likely be moving on to 2GB with the new wave of nextgen games.

The Gigabyte DS3 is a popular motherboard on these forums and should provide more overclockability than your current one. But I'm not sure if it's SLi built, if that's what you're looking for.

The 570 chipset ain't the greatest. The 680 is, though.

The onboard sound on most motherboards is decent. f2b's advice is good regarding swapping your parts to get the money for a better mobo, as well as the PSU.
