I have heard that the 750GB is on par with the Raptors, can someone please link me to that information?

That is un-true the raptors are 10,000 rpm drives with lots of platters a traditional drive can never reach that speed when only 1:1 drives are being tested. It may be true if its a 1:2 (raid 0) configuration of the western digitals. 2 Samsung Spinpoints in raid 0 are less then 4mb/s slower then a raptop because they are in a raid 0 array

RAID two 7200.10 Seagates that have a 16MB cache and NCQ. Almost the same performance as a Raptor, costs less, and a whole lot more storage.
