What is a good free program i can use to test ram speed etc.

oh! Vista has benchmarking built in it. Just get Vista, it's great. Has some bugs. Less bugs then XP had.

You mean the 2-digit value it assigns to your computer? lol.

It says my ram is "4.5"

hmm... 4.5 what?

You should just know by the specs your given.
