Default RAM Question

I'm looking at RAM, and is it better to have a slower latency like 4-4-4-12 but at PC5200 speed, or something like 2.5-2.5-3-6 at pc3200 speed? i think that my mobo only goes up to 3200 so the ram would be downclocked, but i'm considering overclocking. what is the best option?

lowest latency matters most.

besides, looks like you have an AMD, in which case you will only be able to use pc3200 or less...

Read this info:

http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/show...memory+timings

This should help you regardless if you have a DFI board or not.

G.Skill. They have made a name for themselves as being great for overclocking.

ok now i have a question. I'm most likely going to overclock, so which will be better for OCing and everyday performance?

the slower latency ram, but PC4000: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231021

or the faster latency ram, but PC3200: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231047

thanks
