Default Ram question

Since I plan to get the gskill ddr2 pc6400 ram, I was wondering about ram with even higher speeds like pc8500 or whatever, and ddr3 and stuff? I know this stuff is more pricey, but is any of this worth it?

DDR3 is not worth looking into yet. It will be some time. Plus they're going to be really pricey.

The higher speed ram, is if you are going to be doing some heavy duty overclocking. But the G. Skills you got, is capable of that.

can you handle it?

My computer uses 1.5A-load, .8A-idle, .65A-standby, .05A-turned off on 125V.
