would i notice considerbal changes if i had xms ram instead of standard ram.

Core 2 Quad @ 2.5ghz (slacr)
3 gigs corsair xms2 ram
8800 gt 512 mb superclocked
Windows Vista

Overclocking? Yeah you will see a diffrence from corsair value select

The timings would be a little tighter, but that's about the only difference. Unless you are planning to OC, value ram is the same exact thing as any high quality ram like the XMS line, OCZ, Mushkin, Crucial, etc, etc...

However, if your are OCing, it would make a big difference. Value ram typically doesn't OC well at all.
