or this one:

i like the first one becuase of the tight timings and because the 50 bucks mail-in rebate. im looking to overclock and stay under 200. any other suggestions.

second one

DDR 500 will give you an excellent OC.

The timings are loser on the second one becuase of the DDR diffrence.

wat proc are you using

DDr 2 is allitle more faulty and has higher latency numbers

Nitestick 04-11-2006 04:47 AM

its not DDR2 its DDR500 ram vs DDR400. in that case i would take the DDR500 for a better overclock. in some instances the DDR400 is better (e.g. BH5) because it can reach as far as your processor with stock latencies

Didnt know that ddr memory went past ddr-400

My bad

alexsabree 04-12-2006 01:56 AM

whats with u saying "faulty"

but isnt DDR2 faster than DDR??

wtk pro l 04-12-2006 09:59 AM

ok so, what gives better superpi times? better timings? or higher ram frequencies?

slick_tech15 04-12-2006 01:25 PM

I think higher ram frequencies should give you better timings. I agree that the second one is better, 2 GB of ddr500 for 150 dollars is a pretty good deal.
